The Cold Top – the dreaded start to the round. Racing to the tee, no time to warm up, straight into it and… thunk. There’s a crater like mark in front of your tee where the ball has tried to enter the next later of our Earth’s crust and then sped off with top spin to be dead straight but only 20 metres away.
Whilst the 1st Tee is its main habitat it can also be found when waiting on the green to clear on a par 5 you are going at in two or when there is an audience watching you tee off over water on the courses signature par 3.
Beware of the Cold Top.
